International Master Vintage : 2 years, Full time, a European track about wine production
Become an expert in the international wine production industries through Higher education courses in viticulture and oenolog.
The international Vintage Master is a higher education course combining scientific and technical knowledge and field experience. It provides an in-depth knowledge of the wine industry. The International Vintage Master, coordinated by ESA, was built in partnership with seven universities within the European Union, between 1998 and 2002. We have been accredited DNM (National Master Degree) since September 2003, and certified Erasmus Mundus for the first time in September 2005 again in September 2009.
In 2007, as part of the Erasmus Mundus program, new partnerships with South Africa, Switzerland and Chile were established, which allowed us to develop our collaborations both in terms of research and pedagogy.
The International Vintage Master is now a consortium of 12 universities around the world bringing together professors and researchers in viticulture, oenology, sociology and wine marketing.
This master course welcomes about 25 students from different nationalities.
This training in viticulture, oenology and wine marketing (wine terroirs and firms) combines technological, economic and marketing knowledge with case studies.
Applications are examined individually.
To attend this master course, students must have successfully completed a diploma of higher education in science. It can be, for example…
a “Bachelor of Science” (3 years of scientific training or economic-marketing sciences), in France : a licence/bachelor, a master, a DNO, and equivalent diploma for other countries.
Candidates will also be asked to prove interest for the wine sector.
The same admission requirements apply to company staff wishing to obtain a Master of Science by the way of continuing education. Each candidate will be examined individually by the academic committee.
